So, after waiting almost three weeks the big fabric shipment finally arrived and I've been busy unpacking and listing them. It always feels a little bit like Christmas. I'm sure my fellow fabric addicts will get this :)

Nachdem ich nun drei Wochen geduldig gewartet habe ist auch der Rest der Stofflieferung endlich im Lädchen eingetroffen. Ich  habe mich natürlich sofort ans Auspacken gemacht, fleißig fotografiert und eingestellt :)

There's lots of lovely prints ranging from nostalgic roses to retro seed ads (red and pale aqua version) as well as pin dots, strawberries and plaids! The trend this season is soft grey, pink, red and aqua. These fabrics are all 100% cotton in premium quality and a quilter's dream!

Exciting news! I was at a private Spring 2016 fabric preview last week and Lecien is bringing back the enormously popular "Princess Rose". Even more exciting...I will be getting three sweet rose prints from this collection in pastel pink, blue and lavender as early as December of this year. Stay tuned!

Tolle Neuigkeit, die ich letzte Woche bei einer privaten Frühjahr 2016 Vorschau erfahren habe: nach circa fünf Jahren wird die super beliebte "Princess Rose" Kollektion nochmal nachproduziert! Und es kommt noch besser...bereits im Dezember erhalte ich drei traumhaft schöne Drucke aus dieser Kollektion in zartem Rosa, Blau und Lavendel. Perfekt für Tilda Nähprojekte :)

Postcard Pouch

To answer your questions in my previous post: Yes indeed! The new sewing machine had been delivered and thank goodness for that! I am getting acquainted with it, and I know we will become best friends :) My bedtime reading consists of the manual and leaflets that came with the machine.
And after my long sewing hiatus I'm oh-so-proud to have finally turned an idea that has been swirling round in my head for ages into this...

Im letzten Post habt ihr mich gefragt, ob ich denn tatsächlich die neue Nähmaschine bekommen habe. JA!! Ich bin überglücklich und habe mich schon mit meiner neuen Maschine angefreundet. Die letzten Abende war die Bedienungsanleitung meine Bettlektüre :) Und nach dieser langen Zwangsnähpause bin ich so stolz, dass ich wenigstens eine der vielen Ideen, die mir im Kopf  rumschwirren, umgesetzt habe...

Einzelstück, entworfen und in Handarbeit gefertigt / OOAK designed and handmade by me

The lighting is disastrous. It's grey and foggy outside, so these pictures are as good as they get. The pouch is made from pure natural linen. Any irregularities are unique to linen fabric and add to the charm. The twine is stitched on and is part of the overall design. It is fully lined with a delightful rose print. 

This is a OOAK piece. Measurements: 8" wide to 9.5" wide at the bottom. 8" tall. 1.5" deep. It retails for approx. USD 33,70 plus shipping. I will be offering it here on my blog to anyone interested first before listing it in my shop in a couple of days.

Das Licht ist nicht das Beste. Draussen ist es grau und nebelig. Besser bekomme ich die Fotos diesmal nicht hin. Der Oberstoff ist reines Leinen. Kleine Noppen oder Unregelmäßigkeiten sind teil der Leinenstruktur und keinesfalls Stofffehler! Die Kordel ist mit kleinen Stichen aufgenäht. Das Täschchen ist vollständig mit einem schönen Rosendruck gefüttert. 

Dies ist ein Einzelstück. Ich biete es zunächst hier auf meinem Blog für Euro 24,90 zzgl. Versand zum Verkauf an, bevor ich es in ein  paar Tagen im Lädchen einstelle. Maße: 20 cm hoch, 20cm bis 24cm (unten)

A week from today we are already celebrating the 1st Advent and I have just finished sorting the decorations that are to go on my wreath. Finn & Hannah, handcrafted dolls, were dusted off to make their annual appearance on a shelf and I'm almost done with my Christmas gifts - all of them handmade this year!

In other news I've had a bit of a scare when I couldn't find Sammy anywhere this morning. It all started harmlessly when I let him out on to the terrace as usual. The terrace is enclosed and there is no way Sammy could disappear from there. So after a while I called him back inside and usually he answers back (it sounds like 'kakakak'). It's hilarious! But on this occasion nothing. So I went outside...no Sammy. NO Sammy. NO SAMMY.
And then I remembered that we had pushed the outdoor chairs and table all to one side due to the recent storms and something told me he must have climbed up and over onto the other side (the big outdoors)...and wouldn't you know I spotted two shiny green eyes staring out at me from inside this big bush. With a lot of cajoling and promises of yummy treats I finally got him out from there and carried him back to safety! I don't know who was more scared - me or Sammy!
One thing is for sure - I'm going to keep a close eye on him whenever he's out there from now on!
