when it rains for days on end I crave comfort food. Banana bread does it for me. I eat it still warm from the oven...hhhmm.
Sweet ripe organic bananas, brown sugar, ground hazelnuts, chopped walnuts, a couple of spices and my "secret" ingredient: creamy yoghurt. It's simply delicious!

wenn es tagelang regnet backe ich gern Bananenbrot. Bereits der Duft beim Backen heitert mich wieder auf. Besonders gerne esse ich es noch warm...hhhmmm. Süße reife Biobananen, brauner Zucker, gemahlene Haselnüsse, gehackte Walnüsse, ein paar Gewürze und meine "geheime" Zutat: cremiger Joghurt. Einfach lecker!

In other news, I splurged. On wool. After chunky needles I'm now practicing with thinner needles. I really love the bamboo ones and I bought a whole set! Guess I'll be knitting this weekend :)

Ich habe mich eingedeckt. Mit Wolle. Mein erster Versuch mit dicken Nadeln klappte ja ganz gut, also übe ich jetzt mit dünneren. Die aus Bambus sind meine Favoriten! Ich schätze dies Wochenende werde ich strickend verbringen :)

Witzig! Ich habe gestern auch Bananenbrot gebacken. Obwohl bei uns strahlender Sonnenschein ist und ich gestern im Liegestuhl unter der Pergola gehäkelt habe.

Sehr lustig ... Wenn ich Bananenbrot backe sieht es genauso aus wie Deins. Mein Rezept ist allerdings ohne Haselnüsse und Joghurt. Auf jeden Fall wird es bei uns auch von allen sehr gerne gegessen.

ummm, love the smell of banana bread baking! I found a great recipe years ago from Cooking Light that makes it light and fluffy that I make all the time now - it's really good. And love the color selections ... they are perfect for Easter!

For me, it's bread pudding...and only in the depth of winter and it has to be blustery outside; something about baked soggy bread, rich cream, raisins and vanilla and cinnamon.....(looks like I've talked myself into it!)...and who can pass up good rich wool yarn? I'm right there with you:). Pam

Oh yay! I love a good wool splurge!! And I love my bamboo needles too...not better than my Addi metal ones, but love them for chunkier projects. I actually broke several sets of size 2 bamboo needles making the "Hulk" for a christmas present!!
