Hello and happy Monday! Today I'm featuring rich grenadine - one of the colors from the Pantone Fall 2017 color report. Such a bright, happy color. I'm thinking of getting this as nail polish :)

This month's birthstone is Peridot, a pretty gemstone that comes in fresh lime green, olive or bottle green and can look anything from subtle to dramatic. Although I prefer it with silver it looks great with gold too! Enjoy :)

Der Peridot ist der Geburtsstein für diesen Monat und erinnert mit seinen frischen Grüntönen an eine Sommerwiese. Die Töne reichen von leuchtend Limettengrün bis gedecktem Flaschengrün. Ich wünsche euch allen einen guten Start in die neue Woche!

Some of my regular readers may have noticed that I haven't been blogging much lately. I had so many fun projects planned for this year, but unfortunately my persisting health issues have thwarted them all. I felt nauseous and dizzy on my birthday last week, so unfortunately I had to cancel dinner. Of course, in the face of what's happening around the world my problems seem somewhat insignificant, although I do believe the current collective negativity is having a detrimental effect on my recovery, because I am so susceptible to lower energies! I have been diligently cleansing my chakras and have delved deeper into healing with crystal energy (more on that in a future post!) and I try to eat as nutritiously as possible to counteract the negative side effects of the meds. Please bear with me - hopefully I will be back to my regular blogging routine soon. After all my blog is my happy place. I love blogging :)

Hi everybody!

First, it took me forever to download some of these pics from Etsy. I was thinking it was my computer, but then I realized the photo format on Etsy has changed. Many are now .png files. Also,  it seems the file size limit has been reduced. Anyone else on Etsy notice this? It sure puts a damper on curating mood boards. Anyway, cacti are still trending this season - they are everywhere from prints to crafts! Plus they remind me of my maternal grandmother who used to cultivate a whole bunch of colorful cacti. I wish I had inherited her green thumb ;-)

Ich hoffe ihr hattet ein schönes Wochenende. Kakteen und Sukkulenten sind auch diese Saison wieder voll im Trend. Man sieht sie jetzt überall als Druck auf Stoff, Papier etc. oder als witzige Bastelidee. Sie erinnern mich an meine Großmutter mütterlicherseits. Sie hatte immer viele bunte Mini-Kakteen auf der Fensterbank. Ich wünschte ich hätte ihren grünen Daumen geerbt ;-)

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, but last week I came down with the most horrendous cold. In summer, can you believe? Since I prefer natural remedies I've been drinking lots of herbal tea, using my essential oils etc. I'm not quite there yet, but I'm slowly getting better. This collage perfectly sums up my week...

Hallo zusammen! Letzte Woche hat es mich mit einer fiesen Erkältung erwischt, daher bin ich nicht zum Bloggen gekommen. Da ich natürliche Heilmittel bevorzuge, habe ich viel Kräutertee getrunken und natürlich sind meine ätherischen Öle wieder zum Einsatz gekommen. Ganz fit bin ich noch nicht, aber es wird besser. Today's the first day of the summer holidays in my state, so things are probably going to slow down a bit. Which is fine by me - I'm looking forward to my summer sewing project anyway! Also a good time to take stock. My storage space is bursting at the seams! I've been selling off older collections and specials on Instagram to make way for new collections arriving this month :) But I digress...back to my favorite season summer. Enjoy my watermelon picks!

In NRW beginnen heute die Sommerferien, d.h. es wird allgemein etwas ruhiger. Im Augenblick kommt mir das gut gelegen - da kann ich mich nämlich meinem Sommernähprojekt widmen. Außerdem muss ich ein wenig Ordnung im Lagerraum schaffen, denn diesen Monat erwarte ich eine neue Lieferung an tollen Designerstoffen! Die heutige Collage kommt hochsommerlich daher: ist die Wassermelone doch Dauerrenner im Sommer!

The other evening I watched the secret life of pets, an animated movie which I found hilarious. It was just the respite I needed after a busy work week! This reminded me that I hadn't done a pet-themed mood yet this year. So, here we go... :)

Last week I had a lot of work that required my focused attention and before I knew it it was the weekend and I realized I hadn't posted anything since the last mood board! I've been looking forward to the month of May, because my pretty peonies will bloom again. Another reason why I'm excited for this month is the Spa weekend that I booked earlier this year. I can't wait! Anyway, as every year I've curated a peony board. Enjoy my picks!

Hallo am Montag. Letzte Woche hatte ich unerwartet viel Arbeit, so dass mir erst am Wochenende bewusst wurde, dass ich schon seit der letzten Montags Collage nicht mehr gebloggt habe! Nun haben wir schon Mai; wie die Zeit vergeht. Diesen Monat freue ich mich wieder auf meine zartrosa Pfingstrosen. Hoffentlich regnet es diesen Monat nicht so heftig wie im vergangenen Jahr, damit ich sie länger genießen kann! Bis es soweit ist stimme ich schon mal mit dieser Collage darauf ein!

Recently, at the trade fair I saw lots of pretty nursery decorations. Bunnies and elephants were a popular theme. This inspired me to create a nursery theme for my mood board today. I also recently completed a baby quilt for a friend. That was quite the task and after stitching the binding on by hand I'm not so sure I'll be repeating that in a hurry ;-)

Neulich auf der Stoffmesse gab es viele hübsche genähte Sachen für Kinder, u.a. süße Hasenkissen und Stoffelefanten. Das hat mich zu dem heutigen "Kinderzimmerthema" inspiriert! Apropos...vor kurzem habe ich eine Krabbeldecke für eine Freundin genäht. Das hat länger gedauert als gedacht, aber sie ist zum Glück noch rechtzeitig zum Verschenken fertig geworden ;-)

Spring time means wedding season! Etsy has a ton of ideas for spring weddings and brides-to-be are spoilt for choice. I went for traditional white with a pop of color in my moodboard today :)

Mit dem Frühlingsanfang beginnt auch die Hochzeitsaison! Etsy bietet unzählige Ideen für den Hochzeitstag. Für die heutige Collage habe ich mich für traditionelles Weiß mit einem kleinen Farbtupfer in Rot entschieden :)
