Just a quick post to wish everyone a very happy and relaxing weekend. Springtime has finally arrived here with temperatures of 18°C (64.4°F).

Nur ein paar schnelle Zeilen um euch ein schönes und entspanntes Wochenende zu wünschen! Es sind sagenhafte 18°C. Einfach herrlich!!

Sammy loves lying on top of the couch cushions. All of our back cushions have deep indentations, that I regularly need to fluff up! haha :)

Sammy liebt es oben auf den Rückensitzkissen unserer Couch zu liegen...die haben alle solche Vertiefungen, die ich regelmäßig wieder in Form bringen muß! haha :)

This morning a made pistachio & strawberry cake. It didn't look as good as the picture below...hmm, I wonder if they added green food colouring, because my pistachio cream did not turn out this green??!!

Heute morgen habe ich eine Erdbeer-Pistazientorte gebacken. Aber die sah nur halb so gut wie die auf dem Foto aus (Rezept von Lindt). Hmm...ob die für die Fotos grüne Lebensmittelfarbe benutzt haben? Denn meine Pistaziencreme sieht nicht so grün aus??!!

Cafetière Cozy

One of the things my husband and I enjoy very much is reading - preferably on our comfy sofa, with a nice hot beverage, and some soft music playing in the background. Pure bliss. We can spend hours like this, in comfortable silence, totally absorbed in our respective books...

It's not unusual that our tea or coffee turns cold in the meantime! I decided to make a cozy to fit around the cafetière - a small, single one, since only hubs drinks coffee - in a cheerful kitty print. I simply measured the height required and the circumference and added seam allowances. It is very easy to make and closes with velcro at each tab end.
