Etsy Front Page & Everything goes with Ice Cream

I'd planned an entirely different (rather elaborate) post  for today, Easter Sunday, but I'm not feeling well, so instead I'm sharing two things that have made me happy this past week...

Eigentlich wollte ich heute am Ostersonntag etwas ganz anderes (jedoch ziemlich aufwändiges) posten, aber mir geht's nicht besonders gut, daher zeige ich Euch zwei Dinge, die mich letzte Woche glücklich gemacht haben...

This is the first time since joining Etsy in December 2010 that one of my handmade items made the front page, which resulted in a custom order. Huge thanks to Melissa of missvintagewedding who curated this treasury!

Letze Woche wurde eine meiner Rüschenshorts auf der Hauptseite von Etsy gezeigt!  Ein ganz dickes Lob an Melissa von missvintagewedding, die diese Collage zusammengestellt hat!

In the same week I found out I won this book that I had on my wishlist ever since it came out! I had been following the lovely author Koralee's blog for about a year and through her blog happened to come across another fabulous and crafty blog creJJtion. Maaike who runs this blog was offering two readers the chance to win this book. Of course I jumped at the chance...and WON :) The pictures in this book make me long for spring/summer so bad! Do check out the crafty goodness on both of these wonderful blogs!

In der selben Woche habe ich dieses traumhaft schöne Buch gewonnen! Ich lese den Blog der lieben Buchautorin Koralee schon länger und durch sie erfuhr ich, dass es bei Maaike von creJJtion dieses Buch zu gewinnen gab...und das Glück lächelte mir zu :) Falls Ihr diese beiden Blogs noch nicht kennt solltet Ihr unbedingt vorbeischauen. Bei Koralee gibt es super leckere Desserts sowie DIY Ideen wunderhübsch in Szene gesetzt, und die talentierte Maaike zeigt Ihre tollen Strick- und Häkelarbeiten. Aber zurück zum Buch...die Fotos machen unheimlich Lust auf Frühling/Sommer...schon beim Anblick läuft mir das Wasser im Mund zusammen :)

Shabby Chic Ruffle Shorts/ Sommer Shorts mit Rüschen

For the benefit of my German readers I will be blogging bi-lingually as of today.

My blog buddy Nancy let me know through Facebook that my new ruffle shorts were featured on Paper*Cakes Finds. I probably would have missed it! Wow, what an honour. As far as I know Chelsea's blog is read by a lot of people...and hopefully some of these people will click through to my Etsy shop?! I love waking up to great news like this :)
