I'm so excited. The stichting textil plus (in Netherlands) is having a huge textile art exhibition next month, and Etsy Netherlands is organizing a co-design installation. The challenge was to create a piece of textile art no larger than 7 x 7 cm (ca.2.7 x 2.7"). All the participant's entries will then be assembled to make a sort of hanging "quilt". The quilt will then travel to Belgium and if I'm lucky to Germany!

Die stichting textil plus (Niederlande) organisiert im März eine große Textilkunstausstellung. In Zusammenhang mit diesen Kunstdagen (Kunsttagen) stellt Etsy Holland ein eigenes Textilkunstwerk vor - und ich bin dabei! Einzigstes Kriterium: das Kunstwerk darf nicht größer als 7 x 7 cm sein (also winzig). Die Werke aller Teilnehmer werden dann zu einer Art "Quilt" zusammengefügt. Nachdem es durch Holland gereist ist, geht dieses Gesamtkunstwerk nach Belgien und wer weiß? Vielleicht auch nach Deutschland!
This is the design I came up with. It is a tiny letter which opens to reveal an even tinier fluffy red heart. Notice I have incorporated the Dutch Flag colours red, white and blue. :)

Dies ist mein Design. Ein winziger Brief; innen ein noch winzigeres rotes Herz. Habt ihr bemerkt, dass ich die holländischen Flaggenfarben rot, weiß und blau integriert habe? :)
