Since I work from home my daily outfits are quite casual, but when I meet with sales reps, customers or go to Blogger events I love adding a bit of pizzazz in the form of handmade accessories. So when the lovely Gia of Fairytale Flower approached me about a collaboration I jumped at the chance, since I'm a longtime admirer of her Etsy shop!

Da ich von zuhause aus arbeite, trage ich überwiegend lässige Sachen. Umso mehr peppe ich gerne meine Ausgeh- bzw. Meeting-Outfits mit hübschen handgefertigten Accessoires auf. Neulich habe ich von der lieben Gia von Fairytale Flower - ich bewundere ihren Etsy Shop schon seit langem - eine traumhaft schöne Blumenbrosche sowie Ohrstecker erhalten, und die möchte ich Euch heute zeigen!
Fairytale Flower offers a wide selection of handcrafted bridal hair accessories and flower crowns, as well as all manner of lovely floral items for the bridal party, such as hair clips for the bridesmaids and boutonnieres for the groomsmen. Each item is made with careful attention to detail and many are limited edition or one-of-a-kind creations. I received a gorgeous flower brooch (see pic below) made from raspberry and burgundy organza, delicate lace and shiny beads. It really pops on my teal cardigan, which I wore the other day during a lunch meeting.

Fairytale Flower bietet eine große Auswahl an handgefertigten Haarschmuck für Bräute sowie wunderschöne florale Haarclips oder Kämme für die Brautjungfern und Anstecksträußchen für die Trauzeugen. Jeder Artikel wird mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergestellt, oft in limitierter Auflage. Gia fertigt auch gerne nach Kundenwunsch extravagante Einzelstücke an. Von ihr habe ich diese bezaubernde Brosche (Bild unten) aus burgunder- und himbeerfarbenem Organza, zarter Spitze und glänzenden Perlen erhalten. Ich finde sie passt sehr gut zu meiner petrolfarbenen Strickjacke, die ich neulich bei einem Meeting trug.

I was shown how to make my first flower a few years ago and I was hooked
straight away. Since then I have made hundreds upon hundreds of flowers
and instead of getting tired of the process, the organic nature of the
flowers themselves and the infinite variations that can be produced
through changes in style, form and size make this a process that is
infinitely interesting and satisfying.
I'm also in awe of the fact that someone will wear one of my flowers on any given day and it will make that day just a bit brighter, just a bit happier. If that day is a special occassion like a wedding or a prom, then the honour is double and I undertake my task with a magnified joy and pride.

Vor vielen Jahren erlernte ich, wie man Organza Blüten fertigt, und ich war sofort begeistert. Seitdem stelle ich unermüdlich hunderte von Blumen in unendlichen Variationen, Formen und Größen her. Für mich ist und bleibt der Prozess vom Design bis zur fertigen Blume unendlich interessant.
Ich freue mich sehr, dass Käufer aus aller Welt meine Kreationen tragen und wünsche mir, dass meine Artikel den Alltag ein wenig fröhlicher und bunter machen! Die Freude ist doppelt so groß, wenn meine Kunden die Blumen zu einem besonderen Anlass wie z.B. einer Hochzeit oder einem Abschlussball tragen!

I also received these adorable poppy earstuds. Aren't they cute? They are so delicate and light-weight, and the colour is perfect for this season. The flowers are attached to large pads which I appreciate, since they are way more comfortable to wear. The stud part has a little notch which will ensure the bolt part stays in place. Perfect!

Außerdem habe ich diese entzückenden Mohnblumen Ohrstecker bekommen. Sind sie nicht süß? Sie sind so zart und leicht, und die Farbe ist so toll für diese Saison. Die Blüten sind an großen Pads befestigt - so sind sie sehr angenehm zu tragen. Perfekt!
