Little Girl's Twirl Skirt

Hi dear friends!      Hallo meine Lieben!

It's August already, and in two weeks I will be seeing my family including my niece aged seven! I love little girl's clothes, but since we don't have any children I get to indulge my niece instead. Although she's not a girly-girl (she does Taekwondo!) I couldn't resist making her a twirly skirt. I matched the skirt with a plain white Tshirt on which I appliquéd a tree, which I cut from the fabric of the second tier. Looking at the finished Tshirt I was thinking...hmm...I wouldn't mind having one - is that weird?!

Wahnsinn, wir haben schon August! In nur zwei Wochen sehe ich meine Familie und natürlich meine siebenjährige Nichte wieder. Ich habe leider selten die Gelegenheit Kinderoutfits zu nähen (da kinderlos), aber ich muß gestehen - ich finde die ja so niedlich! Also bekommt meine Nichte ein neues Outfit. Obwohl sie kein Girly ist (wie ich) mußte es diesmal ein farbenfrohes, dreistufiges Röckchen sein. Dazu passend habe ich ein schlichtes weißes Shirt mit einem Baum (aus dem zweiten Stoff ausgeschnitten) appliziert! Nachdem es fertig war habe ich mir gedacht...hmm...möchte ich auch haben :) Ist das komisch?!

Pretty Little Things

Fresh in the fabric shoppe is Dena Designs latest collection called "Pretty Little Things". Inspired by sweet handmade projects, these are the perfect patterns to create pretty little things.
I just love the white doily design on a pastel mint background (see right side) and it just so happens it's the same colour as the cover of the Mollie Makes Birthday issue I'm currently reading!

Frisch im Stofflädchen eingetroffen ist die neueste Kollektion von Dena Designs. "Pretty Little Things", das sind florale, paisley und witzige grafische Muster sowie ein bunt-fröhlicher Bäumchenstoff. Perfekte Stöffchen für Patchwork und Quilts! 
Ich liebe diesen mintfarbenen Stoff mit dem zarten Spitzendeckchen-Muster (rechts im Bild). Zufällig passt er perfekt zu der Geburtstagsausgabe von Mollie Makes, die ich gerade lese!

Just looking at these gorgeous fabrics there are a thousand ideas running through my head. I hope to cut into these and make something very soon :)
