A walk through the Rose Garden

Today I'd like to take you on a tour through the Rose Garden, which I visited in the Netherlands recently. I went a bit overboard with pictures, so I will show them to you in two separate posts, this one being part one. I took all of these pictures straight after a heavy rainstorm - I was lucky the clouds parted and the rain stopped just long enough to be able to do so!

 The entrance // Der Eingang

Dotted throughout are modern sculptures from both Dutch and German artists.
A few of them are hidden in quirky places :)

There were chairs and benches available for a quick rest...
*

I spotted a group of cows beneath a tree.
*
Eine Kuhherde unterm Baum.

Despite the name of this garden, we hardly saw any roses (pretty late this year I guess)!
*

I spotted a busy bee in midflight!
*

a peacefully munching cow

I hope you enjoyed part one...stay tuned for the rest of the tour soon!
