Hi everyone!
This art journal page came together quite spontaneously. I was craving color, so I picked neon pink paint, bright orange crayons toned down with a sooty gray stencil background. I applied the colors in a loose manner, added a few splatters and topped it off with pre-made collage flowers and leaves.
Click on the short video to watch the whole process:
The collage shows the layering process from stencil background to choosing the flowers.
There's a video in my channel on how I made the collage flowers and leaves. I made these in several color variations and they are great for adding to art journals and cards.
You can watch it here:
Before adhering the focal image I did some background stamping with text, numbers and faux stitching stamps. I find these make the page "come alive".
Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave comments. I truly appreciate them 😊 Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteToll dein Video dazu!!!
Weiterhin viel Freude beim gestalten einer Tagebuchseite!
Lieben Gruss Elke

DeleteDear Duni, I enjoy watching your progress and explanations in your videos. I absolutely love ❤️ the bright 🌞 and cheerful colours and design.
ReplyDeleteI just love blues and oranges together. Your collage is so pretty! With the flowers finally blooming here this spring, it just reminds me of the promise of warmer days ahead.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a joyful and expressive page. The mix of neon pink, orange, and that soft grey background works really nicely together and gives the whole piece a strong sense of movement without feeling overworked. I also like how the layering builds up from the stencilled base through to the stamping and then the floral collage, it really does bring the page to life. The handmade flowers are a lovely touch and make the whole journal feel personal and full of energy.
ReplyDeleteThe mix of bold colors and the darker background makes the whole thing feel lively without being overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Melody ♥
