Monday Moodboard & Monday Blog Tour

My peonies that are currently in full bloom inspired me to create this moodboard today! I know that lots of you love this flower as much as I do! Hope you enjoy my picks :)

Dori, from the Yellow House tagged me to participate in the Monday Blog Tour! Thank you, Dori :)
She asked me answer the following four questions, so without further ado:

What am I working on?

After a long hiatus I am working on a new bag design, inspired by a whimsical fabric I received recently. Some of my readers may remember that I started my handmade business designing bags, but due to economic factors switched to designing lounge wear and accessories instead. The bag I'm currently working on will be a one-of-a-kind creation and can be purchased directly through me/this blog. Stay tuned...

How does my work differ from others in its genre?

I know there are plenty of handmade shops offering floral lounge wear, but I would say that I have developed a signature style that cannot be copied that easily. A lot of thought goes into each piece, choosing fabric combinations and adding feminine details. Consequently I don't produce en masse and that's my selling point for buyers who appreciate special and unique items.

Why do I write what I do?

Okay, at first I did not get this question, but then this tag is a blog tour so I guess this question refers to blogging :) I've been at it for six years. I love writing, especially tutorials. I believe in sharing ideas - and I've got tons of those :) There is a certain satisfaction of coming up with an idea, be it sewing, papercrafting or even a recipe, implementing it and subsequently sharing it with my fellow bloggers :)

How does my writing process work?

Well, as far as my tutorials go it really starts as a sketch and a few keywords. Once I finish the project I mentally go through the process again (sometimes twice) and write the instructions directly in a blog post. It helps to view the photos I made of the project. I'm a visual person. Sometimes it comes together quickly, other times it takes up to two hours to finish a post. Either way I really enjoy writing!

Check out Dori's post here!

This was so much fun, so I'd like to continue this blog tour by tagging Marieken of  Invisible Crown (@crowninvisible) and Val of Miss Val's Creations (@valscreations) to answer the four questions above by next Monday 16th! Happy Monday!

  17. Liebe Duni,
    Liebe Grüße

  19. I write tutorials the same way: I have to look at the pictures of the steps first, and then start the words. And I like to have all of them edited and ready to go, too. The words are usually the last thing I do, haha.

Interesting insights into your writing process! Tutorials are my least favorite sort of post to write--I forget to take photos as I go and get all confused!
