Pajamas, Pyjamas or PJ's :)

Hi there friends!         Hallo Mädels!

I know some of you aren't ready for Fall yet (me neither), but there's no denying that the temps have dropped, and so I have made a few new long pajama bottoms for my Etsy shop. Frankly, there's nothing better than to change into a comfy pair at the end of a hard day's work. These are super soft and the longer rise and extra width through the hips make them a real pleasure to wear - and I'm not just saying that because I designed them ;-)

Ich wünschte der Sommer wäre noch nicht zu Ende. Geht es Euch ähnlich? Leider ist es hier deutlich kühler geworden. Zeit die langen Pyjamahosen für meinen Etsy Shop aufzustocken. Und mal ganz ehrlich - nach einem langen Arbeitstag mag ich nichts lieber als in diese bequemen Hosen zu schlüpfen. Das Design ist schlicht, jedoch habe ich die Hosen (selbstverständlich aus hochwertiger Baumwolle) mit einer längeren Schrittlänge und etwas mehr Weite in der Hüfte/Oberschenkel entworfen, so dass frau sich unbekümmert in den Sessel fläzen kann, ohne dass gleich eine Naht platzt ;-)

As always after every sewing project there are fabric scraps left. Enough to make this sweet mini pouch! Most of my bags are one-of-a-kind, and do you want to know a little secret? I never really know how they turn out right up till the end! That's because some of my designs on paper don't translate well to fabric. Sewing is an ongoing learning process and that's what I like about it.

Wie immer bleiben bei jedem Nähprojekt Stoffreste übrig. In diesem Fall hatte ich genug, um daraus ein Mini-Täschchen zu nähen. Fast alle meine Taschen sind Unikate, und ich verrate Euch ein kleines Geheimnis - wie die Tasche entgültig aussieht weiß ich meistens erst kurz vor Schluss, denn viele Ideen, die ich auf Papier entwickle lassen sich mit Stoff nicht umsetzen. So bleibt es spannend. Für mich ist es ein stetiger Lernprozess und das gefällt mir so!

There was even enough left to make a pretty flower. I attached it to the bag with a pink mother-of-pearl button. The pouch is lined with a minidot cotton fabric and padded for stability.

Aus den kleineren Resten habe ich dann noch eine Blume gefertigt und an die Tasche mit einem Perlmuttknopf in Rosé angenäht. Das Täschchen ist innen mit einem Minipolkadot Stoff gefüttert und mit Vlies stabilisiert.
